Help w/ A/Mo KD Smite Build
reading sin forums for a few days now...and ive been tickling to make a A/Mo knockdown smite char..which i did..but i need some help with the skills.
right now on the plate i have...
Dark Prison
Iron Palm
Holy Strike
Stonesoul Strike
Entangling Asp
Way of the Lotus
Mark of Instability
Return
Signet of Judgment {E}
Death's Charge
Siphon Speed
Mantis Touch
Horns of the Ox
Aura of Displacement {E}
pretty much im trying to figure out a working combo..using those skills.
my stats are going to be:
Smiting: 12
Deadly Arts: 10
then 8 into either Crit or Dagger depending on what skills ill be using
also, depending on what skills im using...ill either go with +5 energy sword + zealous or a smiting rod + focus (for more energy but then cant do horns of the ox or dagger moves)
basicly im thinking something like...
Dark Prison (hexed) -> Iron Palm (Knockdown) -> Holy Strike (92 dmg) -> Entangling Asp (Knockdown) -> Stonesoul Strike (92 dmg) -> Return (to safety and cripple) -> Signet of Judgment
something along those lines..maybe also add a cheap 5 energy non-dagger attack with fast cooldown to the above combo for when the person doesnt die or something since that above combo was 7 skills...
or maybe take out entangling asp and switch it with way of the lotus and horns of the ox or mantis touch and horns of the ox...or dark prison with death's charge and then way of the lotus...etc etc.
help/suggestions anyone?

Phew.... hold on and gimme a sec to work with all this. Maybe:
Caltrops (instead of Dark Prison)
Iron Palm
Holy Strike
Entangling Asp
Stonesoul Strike
Mantis Touch (I think it's an offhand...)
Horns of the Ox
Res Sig/Signet of Judgement/AoD
Your cheap 5e attack could be Banish...at 12 smite (might be 13) it does ~49 dmg non-resistable and it's ranged.
I had a knockdown build written down somewhere, my friend and I were laughing over how many ways you could knock something down with an assassin.
Your combo looks pretty sturdy, I'm just throwing ideas out here... If Symbol of Wrath actually stayed where you originally cast it you could knock them down, cast it, and teleport out to use Signet of Judgement (Symbol would by substituted for your 5e cheap skill).
Good Luck with your assassin.
BB
EDIT: A nice combo to throw in there somewhere or to think about is the Mark of Instability --> Twisting Fangs --> Holy Strike --> Iron Palm --> Stonesoul Strike. Bleed + Deep Wound + Iron Palm Damage + Twisting Fangs Damage + 184 smiting dmg (after the deep wound, so it's more likely to kill your target).
Maybe:
Mark of Instability
Black Lotus Strike
Twisting Fangs
Holy Strike
Iron Palm
Stonesoul Strike
AoD/SoJ
Res Sig

I think i can give you an EVIL combo, check this out
FALLING SPIDER, READ IT VERY CAFULLY its an off-hand that dosn't have to follow a lead, it just has to hit a KD'ed OPPONENT and it hurtz, and it posins, and its a dagger attack, which means you can shake off all those deadly artz skills and focus more on getting your dagger mastery/criticals up for that energy regain on crit.
If you use a sup rune of criticals, a sup rune of dagger mastery+helm and a sup/major rune of vigor, you can get your stats to this point
13 Criticals
13 Dagger Mastery
11 Smite
Thats an extremly solid 3 skill spread
Now for that nasty combo :-D
In order
Judge's Insight(Now you hurt more )
Sig of judgment(DMG +KD) - Elite
Deaths Charge (If at a distance)
Falling Spider(Poisen+off Hand)
-Wait for them to stand back up and....
Horns of the Ox(SIT, STAY, GOOD NME)
StoneSoul Strike(Oh your on the ground...Ow...)
Holy Strike(Hey if you got it, use it....same as stonesoul)
IF you dont have holy strike....
Sharpen daggers anyone? hrmm?
There you have it, its a 2 KD build, with poisen, and some nasty spikes for KD'ed Foes
Lemme know what u think

Why use Judge's Insight if in an entire combo you're only gonna hit them with your daggers 3-5 times (dual attack + falling spider)? It would be a lot better to have Iron Palm in there so that you can KD them again for Falling Spider and follow-up with HotO + Stonesoul Strike / Holy Strike.
I still prefer the MoI > BLS > Fangs > Holy Strike > Iron Palm > Stonesoul Strike because you get Bleed + Deep Wound and the combo is still open for the addition of Falling Spider + HotO as an alternative to use yet another Stonesoul Strike / Holy Strike.
EDIT: Also you're unlikely to get in that second Holy Strike / Stonesoul Strike while your target is KD'ed...which kinda kills some of the damage output.
For MoI with SoJ: MoI > BLS > Fangs > Holy Strike > Iron Palm > Stonesoul Strike > SoJ (Holy Strike might even be recharged by now so that you can start at Holy Strike > Iron Palm).
For MoI with AoD: MoI > AoD in > Fangs > Holy Strike > Iron Palm > Stonesoul Strike > AoD out or finish off the target with another Holy Strike.

I'm Honestly not to versed in monk skillz, the main point of that was just bringing up falling spider, a very good skill to use on a KD'ed opponent... thnx for the input though, you make a valid point, judges would just inflict quite a bit of pain for those 2 dagger attacks...

I use:
spihon speed -->Iron Palm --> Holy Strike --> Entangling Asp --> Stonesoul Strike --> Crippling Dagger --> Signet of Judgement --> Holy Strike.
I use crippling dagger so that I can cripple them if they try to escape before the combo finishes. If they don't run, the combo should kill outright and even if it doesn't, it severly impairs movement and applies decent pressure. It also ignores empathy, Spirit of Failure, Blind-spam, and other weapon-class woes with ease. Just go 12 Smiting and 16 Deadly Arts and you're set.
